Old World Olive Co. is an olive oil and balsamic retailer located in five cities across the state of Michigan. OWOC has a passion for spreading the word about the benefits of pure, untainted olive oil while raising awareness of the many grocery store olive oil brands that do not meet premium certification. Old World Olive Co. receives its oils from countries all over the globe and promises the freshest, healthiest oils around.

what did i do?

June 2014 - December 2016

Social Media Manager.

During my time as Social Media Manager, I increased the average number of weekly views on the Facebook page by 300%. I also established the company's presence on Instagram and Twitter.

Product and promotion photographer.

I worked as the company photographer for new products and promotional events for OWOC. Here is a sample of my work.

Created and assisted with promotional events.

Produced OWOC's "Summer Selfie Contest," an event that encouraged customers bring their bottle of Old World olive oil or balsamic vinegar along with them to summer events and take photos with it. Pictures of picnics, cookouts, and trips appeared on social media with our hashtag. At the end of the summer a winner was drawn from a list of those who participated and a free private tasting event and basket of goodies was awarded.

I helped the marketing director create the Recipe Sharing promotion. This promotion encouraged our followers to post pictures and recipes of different dishes they made with our products.
